About Me
I’m a fun-loving gal who likes puppies, time/distance-limited walks on the beach, laughing, going out and staying in.
In more specific terms…
I’m an LICSW/LCSW with 17 years of experience within Community Mental Health and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2022 I took this expertise to create Collaborative Psychotherapy.
I specialize in work with the LGBTQIA+ community, those seeking secular therapy and people facing interpersonal conflicts. That said, I put a high value on diversity and do not limit my practice to specific communities amongst the age 18+ population. I have also worked extensively with clients in rural Appalachia and Veterans.
I work with clients experiencing a range of issues including interpersonal problems, sexuality conflict, stress, social anxiety, gender dysphoria, infidelity, divorce/breakups, transitional life events and women’s empowerment. I use elements of CBT, REBT, Positive Psychology, Problem Solving therapists and am certified in Motivational Interviewing.
I’m motivated by the investigative component of therapy. The privilege of accompanying clients in that process is compelling and is a continual source of professional satisfaction.
